HARNESSING THE POWER
OF MUSIC TO SAVE LIVES
Spirit of the Country turns music into a movement, fighting the epidemic of illicit drug overdoses that have killed hundreds of thousands of Americans; by raising critical awareness, protecting the vulnerable, and transforming grief into life-saving action.
THE CONCERTS:
SPIRIT OF THE COUNTRY 2026 is a concert series featuring American recording artists and global musicians from around the world who unite to raise awareness about the dangers of today’s drug threats. The goal is simple, use the power of music to save lives.
THE BACKGROUND:
In the spring of 2024, Nashville based producer/songwriter Stokes Nielson was asked by the Drug Enforcement Administration Foundation to develop an artist outreach strategy that would broaden the messaging reach of anti-illicit fentanyl campaigns. Nielson then worked within his network in country music to have hundreds of artists record and share messaging that educated their fanbases about the dangers of illicit fentanyl. Due to the success of the project, Nielson was then asked to develop a live event experience that would supplement this artist outreach, and SPIRIT OF THE COUNTRY: UNITING TO SAVE LIVES was born.
THE ARTISTS:
Some of the artists that are either performing live, or have pre-recorded performances and interviews supporting SPIRIT OF THE COUNTRY: UNITING TO SAVE LIVES, are: BTS, Blackpink, One OK Rock, Yuji Ayabe, Maneskin, Phoenix, Peter Frampton, Tilly Birds, Bon Jovi, Tim McGraw, Brandi Carlile, Keith Urban, Ella Langley, Zach Top, Michael McDonald, Old Dominion, and more.
